I ordered a large and there is no strap left to extend the fit. It’s way too tight. Is my head abnormally large or something? I can wear the brown and black fur hat very easily. There’s plenty of strap left. Sorry I was disappointed with this one.

I kind of fancy myself as a bit of a hat connoisseur. I’m climbing into my 60’s and balding since my late 20’s. Hats, for me, are a hot commodity. I’m still very active hiking, biking and wilderness canoe travel/camping.
I have several hats from some of the top hat companies out there. I remember looking at KAVU back in the 90’s but didn’t buy one. I live in a rural area, so outdoor stores are a ways off. While coming back from a camping trip along the north shore of Lake Superior, we stopped at a store that handled KAVU products. It sparked my interest again and I bought the strap ball cap and bucket from KAVU’s website.
Absolutely love the fit and feel of both hats. The ball cap took a little bit to get the broken in feel, but it has become my new favorite and will be for many years. These hats are solidly built. Great design and build! I have a happy head.

Whether serving as a Possum Support Platform or shading my dome during competitive boomerang throwing, I have had a Strapcap on my head more often than not since 1991, receiving countless complements on its appearance (even without the possum).
I have only one criticism of this fine lid: The black elastic webbing that spans the length of the visor along the interior of the cap. Over time that material shrinks in width, and tends to flip-down over my forehead rather than staying up inside the cap. I don't know if that can be solved by increasing its width or by using a different material, but if that can be addressed I would be ecstatic.

This hat looks exactly like the picture. The color is perfect for me.
The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is due to the care instructions tags.
The placement of these tags cause them to stick out the bottom of the cap. The solution…cut them off.
Thus, effectively losing the care instructions.

I live in Seattle and have been buying original, khaki and olive green Kavu strap caps for over 25 years. Just bought three new ones, blue, khaki and " fern". Love the organic strap caps, but the new iridescent baby puke green "fern" is the ugliest color I have ever seen. I'll never wear it. Wasted thirty-five bucks. Quit trying to get cute and bring back the old olive green.

Simply put, one of the best baseball caps ever made.

Love the style of this hat! It’s well-made and sturdy. The only thing is the fit of it tends to give me a headache, but I may need more time to break it in and get the placement just right. I have this same cap in the Synthetic version and have no issues with it.

Warning.. Kavu hats have been known to be addictive!

Wore it hiking through sf on a windy day and it stayed on comfortably! Didn't worry once about it falling off. Also, love the colors.

This is my new favorite cap. I love everything about it: the fit, the style, the quality--everything. This is my first Kavu cap, but it definitely won't my the last!
