Is it pronounced KAW-VOO, KAY-VOO, KA-VOO, KY-VOO or KAH-VOO?

KAVU’s an acronym for the perfect day, Klear Above Visibility Unlimited. Say it loud and proud however it rolls off your tongue.  In the PNW, it's typically pronounced KA-VOO.  

What’s the difference between the Rope Bag, Rope Sling, Ropette, Rope Pack etc…? 

Checkout this helpful video explaining that the only difference is the FABRIC!  Yes, the size, the style and the awesomeness are all the same.

How do I clean my KAVU bag?   

Per the washing instructions on the inside tag, we recommend spot cleaning with cold water, air dry at room temperature and avoid drying in direct sunlight to minimize fading. Do not machine wash or dry clean as this may ruin your bag and will void the warranty. 

How long until my order arrives?

KAVU orders ship from the good 'ol Pacific Northwest.  UPS Ground orders shipping to the east coast generally take a week.  Please see detailed shipping information here. If you still have questions about our shipping schedule or need an order by a certain date, please reach out to our friendly customer service staff that are happy to assist you (Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm PST). Please note: we do not ship/deliver on weekends or holidays.  

How do I return my order?

Please visit our Return Request page to submit a request for a Return Authorization Number.  Please note: We do not have an exchange program - you’ll return the original order for a refund and place a second order for the next item. Customer covers shipping charges.

Can you send me stickers?

Help! My buckle was crushed in the car door, how can I get a replacement?

For US residents, we do have replacement buckles for some of our bags and hats.  To see if we have a replacement buckle that will work for you, please email us photos (of your entire item, along with front and back photos of your buckle), info on when and where your item was purchased and your mailing address.  

Does KAVU offer repairs? 

We don’t have a repair department but, many customers have found that local shoe cobblers or seamstresses with industrial sewing machines can easily repair KAVU bags. 

Does KAVU sell bag extenders?

If ya like your bag a little roomier, we do have extenders for some bags.  Please email us photos of your item along with your address to see if we have an extender that will work for you.  

Does KAVU make sling bags for lefties?  

At this time, we don't offer sling bags that go over the left shoulder. 

Do you accept custom bag design orders, where can I submit pattern/print/color design suggestions?

We don't make custom bags however, our design team loves receiving print suggestions.  Feel free to shoot us an email with design suggestions and ideas! 

How do I know if a KAVU bag is FAKE?  

Fakes are out there, friends.  Don't be fooled by the cheap price and fancy photos. Be skeptical of bags listed in Facebook stores!  Check out our Dealer Locator tool to look for authorized dealers near you and watch this video on how to tell if the bag you're lookin to buy is fake.  Still not sure? When in doubt, always run it by Team KAVU, our friendly staff can spot a fake a mile away...

Can I buy gift cards? 

Currently only the two KAVU retail stores in Seattle sell gift cards.  These gift cards must be used in the KAVU stores, (not online). 

How should I store my Chillba?  

The best way to store our famous Chillba hat is hanging it on a wall or resting it on a shelf.  Travel much?  You can roll it like a burrito but, don't fold it like a taco.  (Once it's creased - it's creased so, for piles of smiles don't flatten or fold it!)  

What are your promotion exclusions?  

Prodeal orders are final orders.  No exchanges.  No exceptions.  Please know your size before ya order.
