Great bag! Have been using it on a trip to Banff National Park. It’s definitely waterproof as advertised! Love the front pockets, sling style and versatility with length. Would recommend a hook / loop to stow keys away inside. Have been using the inside zipper pocket for my wallet. Great color selections.

Haven’t used yet but sure it will work well. I love slings - much more so than backpacks. Glad Kavu makes a wide assortment of patterns and has a couple different sizes available. I wear mine on my chest for quick access to binoculars.

Perfect bag. My husband loved my blue Kavu so much, but wanted a sleek and subtle color. He tried 4 other brands of slings and returned them all. I bought him the Raven Kavu rope sling and he admitted no other bag would measure up. We just love the Kavu rope sling too much to settle for any other bag!

So dissatisfied I bought this bag and with 6-8 months it’s faded… it looks old and worn out which is a bummer because it’s a great bag. I highly recommend you do not buy a fabric that’s a cotton canvas blend or you’ll have the same. There is no return for this failure. I could see if it was after 2 years or something but within that period a bummer. (I rewrote this due to the word faded was autocorrected incorrectly)

I have bought 3 of the large rope sling bags! Love love ❤️ them! My hands are free and fight on my body great! They are rough and tough! Last forever. I even bought a new iPhone a iPhone pro max 15, but had to ask if I could try it out to see if it would fit in the front pocket of my bag! It sure did! So I bought the phone. If it didn’t I would have to find another phone that would fit! lol

Many friends love this bag but it does not work for me. I can’t make the strap small enough and it does not sit right on me. The small pockets on the front don’t really fit anything and the top one is not terribly secure. The larger pockets are awkward and there are not enough pouches to organize things well. It would be nice if it had mesh pockets on the outside for holding waters and such.

But it was supposed to be a graduation present and did not get here in time, in fact it got here 3 days later and I paid for expedited shipping and was told the warehouse could not do any order for awhile. I love the style of the bag…the pockets…the way i can hug it next to me. BUT!!! The zipper already broke as you can see in the photo! Talk about cheap! I’ve only been using it about 3 months and already broke. I gotta use it for now and just be careful about my contents not falling out. I was very disappointed. Get some good zippers on and I would reconsider another purchase but i cannot afford another $60 bag at the moment!

Bag is everything I wanted and more. Recommend using some zipper grease in the beginning. Bag is perfect size. I’m a fat retired Vet and it still gets around my chest just fine. For context I’m 6’3”, 280. Would welcome a pocket on the chest strap for a phone or car keys. That might be challenging considering the rope. Speaking of the rope. I love it and keep the color on it. Every year between Christmas and New Year’s Day - I think about my top ten lists! And my black topo Kavu bag made it into my “Favorite top ten purchases made this year”! I love this bag - it is roomy enough to fit the stuff I need for running around town. It’s not so big that I start putting all sorts of unnecessary stuff. Therefore the weight stays just right. I love how the cross strap makes it so comfortable to wear and how easy it is to swing the bag to my front for when I’m on the train and in a crowd. The only thing that could make it more perfect is if I can add a cute phone booth to it. Love this bag - it makes me so happy. I wish I had bought another just like it for the day when I need to retire this one. But so far it still looks brand new even though it is almost a year old and I use it everyday - excellent quality!

I finally had to replace my OG Kavu Rope bag from 2007… I went with the Sling with nylon fabric this time instead of the original cotton material for durability. I love the larger phone pocket on the front and the color. Only complaint is the original had pulls on the zippers, without them they a very hard to open. I cut the ones off my old bag and sewed them on the new one. Now it’s perfect!

I have two KAVU rope bags. I bought one after having problems with my neck and shoulder. My physical therapist told me to stop carrying heavy purses on my shoulder. So I bought a KAVU bag to try since it worn cross body and you can put a ton of stuff in it. Bingo! I have since bought another one. I bought this particular bag for a dear friend for her birthday. She needs to be a bit more hands free. I truly believe she will love it as much as I love mine.

A little bit smaller than I expected, but two larger compartments (left and right) work pretty well for different sizes and shapes staffs from kindle to cellphone to water bottle, the two small zipper pockets in the middle are great for ID, coins, thumb drive, earbuds, key chains, etc. You can easily get organized for your trip. would like to see it to develop one size larger (Mini, Regular, Max) to fit additional comfort items like a jacket, or a blanket.

I really loved how cute the bag is. Especially the water-resistant material of the bag is a bonus. the zipper was hard to unzip at first. The tag inside the bag got stuck to the zipper and ripped off. Luckily no damages were done to the bag. Overall, the bag is such a cute color and worth the money that was spent on it.

I love the rope sling design. I bought the small size thinking that would meet my needs. Not quite. So I got the bigger size. The choices for the canvas pack were not satisfying at all. I chose the most of the least satisfying. Hopefully you'll get better canvass designs to choose from. The design is spot on; the canvass is lacking!!! I'll probably check periodically to see if Kavu has added better canvass packs to choose from.
