The best hat ever. The best part is that it fits into a pocket. The steel ring keeps the brim nice and stable during strong winds. The chin strap is attached to the brim, which adds to the brim's stability and is very comfortable because the strap does not wrap around the sides of your face. The strap being attached to the brim also means that the strap does not get in the way of your glasses.

i LOOOOOVE this hat!!! working at a garden center, it keeps me out of the sun and i love that i can soak it with cold water on hot days to keep my noggin cool. dries quickly and is lightweight, and the straps keep it secure even on windy days. it’s great for hiking and river trips too!! can’t wait to get it in more colors.

Well my head is 21. And it’s around my ears. I did discover a way to make it smaller by hand. Sewing the inside black. This was a pain. But I love the hat. If you ever make them a tad smaller. I for sure will purchase more
I all ready have a second order in and will need to hand sew the inside too
This really is a shame as by sewing the inside black. Now I cannot reverse the hat if I so choose to do so

This hat is my go to hat for any outside adventure....it is so lightweight and cool! It almost doesn't feel like you even have a hat on your head. Being from windy Prince Edward Island, Canada I wear it constantly when I am gardening in my back yard; it helps keep my hair from flying all over the place....and is the prefect shade from the sun! I love the under the neck strap with toggle to hold it on my head. This past summer we drove across our beautiful country to explore the Badlands of Dinosaur Provincial Park in Brooks, Alberta with our grandchildren from the West. Whew!! it was a "cooker" out there!! I wore my hat constantly to both keep the sun off and keep me cool. It was so great when I got home I ordered another one....this time in bold red!! My previous one was the blue clouds with black interior. I love that it can be worn either way as I often wear it black side out.
All in all it is a great hat; hands down the best had I've ever owned!!

One of the best ever had. Easy to fold, nice fit and fast dry. Looked for this design for over one year and finally got the last one in Taiwan. My favorite now. But, seems the similar colorful design is no longer found in KAVU. Really sorry for that. It makes the brand not so unique.

I'm all about well-designed and well-engineered products. I've read some of the reviews and as an enthusiastic owner of 3 of these hats who will be purchasing another soon, I'd like to add some advantages above and beyond the ones in the videos. On a guy, it's a well-designed fishing hat with all of the features and advantages in the Kavu videos. On me, a lady, it's a cute hat that allows me to wear my hair ANY way I want without leaving me with hat-head. I live on a warm-to-hot and often windy island. This hat, due to it's ingenious design, allows air to flow over the top of my bare head under the hat! How? When wearing the hat on a hot windy day with the under-jaw cord to hold it in place, the springy metal rim around the perimeter flexes, allowing air to flow under the hat cooling me off as it protects me from the sun! I can wear my hair in a pony, wear it up, etc! I love this hat! The foldability is fabulous as you already know...If it rains-I'm ready!

I love this hat! I use it as a sun hat for hiking and daily wear in New Mexico. I particularly love this pattern and get a lot of compliments while wearing! I like the hat so much that I lost the first one and bought a second to replace it :)

I love this hat. I wear it to work in the yard and hiking or walking. Some of the best things about this hat are: It isn't tight fitting and doesn't give me hat head. The brim is not too wide so when I'm working in the yard I'm not bumping into plants and bushes. It is very lightweight. I would highly recommend this hat.

I wanted to get another one as a backup. Also love that it's made in the USA. It is very sturdy, waterproof, doesn't flap in the wind, and and an all around great sun hat. I even got compliments on it! Worth every penny!

I was looking for a great sun hat and found a FANTASTIC one! It folds up nice to pack away and pops right open to block out the UV rays without the metal band getting warped. I’ve only had it for a month but have used it backpacking around Mt. Shasta, biking the Pacific coast, and reading by the rivers to avoid the need to put on sunscreen. The brim is a bit low on my head, but I kinda like it. Dorky and cute, I’m about it and get many complements!

This is my 2nd same hat.The first one I bought over 20 years ago.Have Received so many compliments on the hat! I never need to carry an umbrella.And the toggle strap is awesome for windy days! The only reason I replaced my original one was the fabric covering the rim was starting to wear.Gee after 20 years pretty good

This was my favorite hat in the entire world until one day it blew away on a very windy camping trip. I spent literal hours searching for it with no success. I've been waiting to see these on the site again and I'm buying two. SO HAPPY to have it back!! It's light weight, doesn't make your hair look insane when you take it off, works amazing in light rain, and packs away. Perfection.

What sets this hat apart is the wind resistance you get COMBINED with 360 sun protection. The required chin strap, attached to a perimeter steel loop means there's wind resistant tension all around the hat. The front is a bit more susceptible to gusts, but only the strongest. Other 360 protection hats aren't like that; the brim will flop around. Also, tell me a hat that gives you that, but also compacts down to the size of a drink coaster? Lastly, like all 360 outdoor hats, it's not the most attractive thing, but it's at least somewhat interesting. Wind resistant, 360 sun protection, collapsible, doesn't look like total crap. This is the holy quadrinity of outdoor hats.

Best hat
I have had my chillba hat for 5 years. It has held up well. I like it because it doesn't flatten my hair as much as other hats and my head stays cooler that with other hats. I have a somewhat latger head and the one size works well. I use it for gardening. Am buying another cause I love it so much.
