Hit the Road with these killer stretch twill shorts with elastic custom web belt. The Hit the Road short showcases on-seam side pockets, front leg panel pockets and back patch pockets with hook and loop closure based on a KAVU heritage design. Deep lunge ready with a gusset crotch all in a modest 9" inseam. Because we all want many more KAVU days in the future, the Hit the Road short is constructed off cotton and recycled Woojin belt buckle.

Regular fit, elastic waist short with button and zip fly, built-in patterned nylon webbing belt and recycled clip lock buckle, front on seam pockets and thigh welt pocket, amplified back patch pockets with velcro closure and right rear wallet stay, self-fabric locker loop at center back beltloop, gusset, thick thread and double needle reinforced seams.

Fabric: 8oz 98% cotton 2% spandex.

Inseam: 9”.

Models are wearing size medium / 34.

I love KAVU - probably have 30% of my wardrobe as KAVU and likely would have at least something KAVU on every day - BUT - sizes are not consistent and it drives me crazy. The Hit the Road XL shorts are as tight (in the waist) as my L Chilli Light shorts (I ordered XL) based on my XL Chillis but alas...I'm totally "snugged" in the HTR shorts and not sure I'll be able to wear them (XL!! - I swim in my XL Chillis!!!???) And the North Boundary XL shirt - snug, snug, snug - I have several other XL shirts/tops from KAVU and they fit like a dream - comfy and roomy and wear all day with room and movement. Bottom line - this new shirt keeps my arms down and I'll likely pop the chest buttons if I use them and do anything other than sit and watch the grass grow. Now, I'm older (55) and I love my KAVU - but XL should be XL - not "Euro-XL". We need to be able to live and move in the clothes - not be mannequins. Meant constructively. Love you all! Jack

XL is very tight for a 38 waist for these shorts. I own a pair of Kavu Chile H20 shorts in XL and they fit great with plenty of room, so I'm not sure why these are different. Also, the belt is too short. When maxed out at largest setting, it's still too snug for 38". If you are in the XL range, then I would recommend upping to the XXL for this particular pair. This was also echoed by another reviewer, so it must be consistent with this style and size. I had to return them.

Comfortable, well fitting shorts that look good. They dye on the cloth does not seem up to normal Kavu standards as it is fading after about 2 months of ownership (~3-4 washes). Not sure if this is a bad batch or a wider issue.

5 star shorts. 1 star belt. I'd buy a more of these if the belt wasn't so short with such a weird clasp. The belt on the xxl shorts is totally maxed out before you even clasp it shut. There is no slack. I have 2 pairs of the chili lite shorts in xxl and they have plenty of extra belt length to cinch down the waist. When they fix the belt, these shorts will be perfect.

The shorts fit great, but the belt is too tight, even on the longest setting. I wear a 38 in most brands and it is rare than an XL pant/short does not fit. Pretty bummed about these as I had to return them.
