Maria was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala and raised by her grandparents until the age of 5. Then she moved with her parents to Dallas, TX and eventually Rowlett, TX where she has lived since she was 8 years old. She picked up Disc Golf from her dad at an early age. In her teen years she found a new love and perspective for Disc Golf, and this is where her love for the sport and competition began. She hasn't stopped playing since and doesn't intend too anytime soon!
