Despite the 2 star review, I love this bag. Super versatile, I used it mainly as a gym bag. Only had it for about 4 months before the stitching on the zipper unraveled, with the zipper breaking off shortly after. Still kept using the other side of the bag for a while before the other zipper broke off. May have had a lemon, but still loved this bag and would recommend.

So far the bag is exactly what I needed, moved to this bag because it has a sturdier strap without the roll up strap extension that was not staying put on my Mini-Rope Sling. Nice to have extra room for a water bottle in the summer too.

My first Kavu. My wife has had many. I’ve always been impressed with how comfortable the strap is. The Switch Slinger is great for a guy. I’m a pretty big guy and I’m waiting for the strap extension to come back in stock. Love the Bag!!

I have been waiting for a 1-strap sling/backpack style rope bag like this switch slinger, for quite some time. I have used the kavu rope bags for awhile now and have been trying to figure out how to also carry my laptop without having to add another bag. I use my rope bag as my daily purse. My daily go-to bag was the Paxton but it wasn’t quite big enough (or shaped slightly off that I couldn’t carry my laptop in it), I also have the rope sling and that is too small as well. As a person that commutes to work with my 13” laptop it is a welcome addition to my kavu collection. I have long despised regular backpacks that I have to take completely off just to get something out. Kavu sling bags always allow me to rotate to get something out and I love them for it. So this bag solves that problem. I would only ask that in future designs that they increase the size by maybe and extra inch (or so) wide and an inch (or so) deep.. that way I could add a few more things, instead of stuffing it to the gills. Thanks again for the shape change to allow room for my laptop!

Really like the Switch Slinger. The flat rectangular shape of the Switch is really nice for carrying a tablet. I plan to add a couple lobster clips to ensure the zippers stay closed when in busy travel situations and hiking, not that it may really require them. I still would purchase the original style of rope bag if they ever make one for the left shoulder since I can't carry weight on my right side. Also loved a barrel shape canvas bag they made maybe 15 years ago which like the Switch Slinger, had a wide strap making it very comfortable to carry. I always come back to Kavu to see what they have as the sewing quality and fabrics are very good in their fun and practically designed gear.

This is my 3rd Kavu bag and I love it. I got it as a smaller bag I could use while walking around with my dog to pack all his goodies with us. The size is great and very comfortable. I had an issue with the shipping and contacted the company regarding it and Karlee was so helpful and kind while getting issue resolved quick. Highly recommend the bag and the company!!

I’m impressed how comfy and just the right size this bag is without it looking like a hiker dad-bag. Bought this for some upcoming travel and it’ll be perfect for the day trips and as an airplane bag.
How do you deal with the adjusting strap? I would REALLY love a second elastic band to tuck away the excess strap. I like to wear this pretty close to my body and so there’s a lot of extra strap when I adjust it down.

It was very interesting to get used to slinging it over my left shoulder. However, my right shoulder has been bearing the weight for so long with my other Kavu that I needed a change. There is still a ton of space in this bag like the original. I do wish there was more material on the top of the strap as it tends to cut into my neck a little. Other than that I am very pleased with the bag.

I own several Kavu rope bags and this one did not disappoint! Its roughly the size of the Rope Bag Mini, but because of the rectangle shape, it seems easier to me to use the space as opposed to the mini. The padded mesh back is comfortable and doesn’t get all sweaty in the Alabama heat. To me, it’s the perfect size for daily shopping and errands - big enough to hold everything I need but not so bulky that it becomes a pain to carry around.

The functionality is great, but lacking in fabric options. I needed something quick that would hold a lot and my only option that would look somewhat “professional” to take to work while I was on crutches and using a knee scooter was black.
The black canvas type fabric picked up every particle of dust, hair, dirt, lint... if you wear a fuzzy pull over or sweater, forget it! I’m returning it to the store I purchased it at. I’m hoping they have the tile pattern because otherwise it is a great bag.
My style is outdoorsy and I love the brand, but who over the age of 10 wants to wear strawberries? Come on Kavu, make some more pleasing patterns.
